The Velotric Tempo is a lightweight city eBike designed for commuting, fitness rides, neighborhood cruising, and everyday travel. At approximately 39 pounds, it keeps the clean look and responsive feel of a traditional bicycle while adding smooth electric assistance when you need it.

The 350W motor delivers up to 650W peak power and 45Nm of torque for city streets and gentle hills. SensorSwap™ lets you choose between torque sensing for a natural, responsive ride and cadence sensing for steady support on longer, flatter routes.
With up to 60 miles of pedal-assist range, the Tempo gives you the freedom to commute, cruise, and explore with less range anxiety. The removable thumb throttle, lockable battery, gravel-ready tires, and Shimano 8-speed drivetrain add flexibility for different riding styles.
Stay Active With Pulse Mode™
Pulse Mode™ can connect with a compatible heart-rate band or smartwatch and automatically adjust pedal assistance based on your effort. It helps you maintain a comfortable rhythm while turning everyday rides into a simple and repeatable way to stay active.
Smart Features for Everyday Confidence
The Tempo includes a full-color display, NFC keyless unlocking, integrated front and rear lighting, brake indication, turn signals, USB-C charging, and support for Apple Find My and Google’s Find Hub. It can also switch between Class 1, 2, and 3 settings to suit different riding needs and local regulations.

I recently purchased a Velotric Summit 1 e-bike from Garage Cycles, and the experience was top-notch. While the bike is available for the same price online, choosing to buy locally was absolutely the right move.
The shop is beautifully maintained, clean, well-stocked, and incredibly easy to access. The proprietor, Matthew, was fantastic to work with. He had multiple sizes in stock, took the time to fit me to the correct frame, and clearly explained all the bike's features and technology before I took it for a spin.
The real testament to their customer service came on Memorial Day. I ran into a minor technical issue, and even though the shop was closed for the holiday, Matthew met me at the shop to quickly resolve it and get me back on the road. You simply don't get that level of dedication with an online purchase. I highly recommend Garage Cycles!

Why are there two frame styles available?
The MS (Mid-Step) frame lowers the step-over height, making it easier to mount and dismount—ideal for a wider range of riders, including women and older users. The HS (High-Step) frame is designed for riders who prefer a more responsive and sporty riding experience.
Has the weight of the Tempo changed compared to the T1 ST Plus?
The Tempo weighs 39 lbs, the same as the T1 ST Plus. However, it features a removable battery. Without the battery, the bike weighs just 34 lbs, making it easier to carry and transport.
Can the T1 ST Plus bottle battery be used with the Tempo?
No. Tempo does not support the Velotric Range Extender Battery, which is designed specifically for the T1 series.
For extended range, consider carrying a second battery for easy swapping.
Is the Tempo removable battery safe?
Yes. The battery is rated IPX7 for water resistance and certified to UL 2271 standards.
It is also securely locked with a key to prevent movement or detachment during rides.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Most deliveries take 3-5 business days. Some may take over 7 days due to weather, remote locations, or courier issues.
