01 / From the artwork to the road

Keep the feeling.
Change the canvas.

Rose, ochre, deep green. The sweep of a black line. We wanted the jersey to carry the energy of the artwork, right down to its smallest marks.

Der wilde Mann – The Wild Man (1922) by Paul Klee, artwork reference

Der wilde Mann – The Wild Man (1922) by Paul Klee. Slide between the artwork reference and the GC interpretation.

A work of art,
recomposed for movement.

Created in 1922, Der wilde Mann places a restless figure among forces pulling in different directions. Its rose, green and ochre ground gives those dark marks room to move.

The figure anchors the back. Colour and gesture flow across the front, shoulders and sleeves. Each panel belongs to the same composition.

We gently soften the image for print, keeping the brushwork alive. Enough refinement to feel intentional. Enough texture to remember where it began.

02 / The person behind the work

Paul
Klee.

18.12.1879 — 29.06.1940

Klee grew up near Bern in a family of musicians. He spent years choosing between music and painting before moving to Munich to study art. That curiosity stayed with him: colour, signs and imagined worlds became his own visual language.

A journey to Tunisia in 1914 deepened his exploration of colour. At the Bauhaus, where he began teaching in 1921, he investigated how pictures are built. In 1933, pressure from the Nazis cost him his teaching position in Düsseldorf. He returned to Bern and continued working through serious illness.

What draws us to Klee is that independent spirit. The Wild Man brings the work into everyday movement: still strange, still expressive, still full of life.

1914

Tunisia. A deeper encounter with colour.

1921

The Bauhaus. An artist who also taught.

1933

Back to Bern. A language entirely his own.

03 / More than a printed jersey

Four fabrics.
Every panel matters.

The artwork deserves a considered home. A premium four-fabric construction gives the body, sleeves, sides and rear pockets their own job.

01 / Front + back fabric

Colour.
Up close.

Fine, closely spaced knit across the body. The softened Klee brushwork settles into the surface, keeping the character of the painting in every panel.

02 / Sleeve fabric

Let the
air in.

Open rounded mesh on the sleeves. A visibly different texture, with the same rose, green and ochre composition carried through it.

03 / Side-panel fabric

The quiet
workhorse.

A third fabric runs down the sides. Its structured ventilation knit meets the body at a narrow stitched join, with a neat, contoured transition at the hem.

The complete back

Art that
follows you.

The figure, three rear pockets and the red GC tag, stitched at all four corners. A complete view of the jersey from the back.

Fine front and back technical knit01

The main body

A fine technical knit across the front and back. A close, even surface that lets the colour and softened artwork read beautifully.

Open sleeve mesh02

The sleeves

A more open mesh structure, visibly different from the body fabric. Lightness and ventilation where the jersey meets the shoulders and arms.

Ventilated side-panel fabric03

The side panels

A separate ventilated fabric along the sides. A dedicated panel that brings the cut together and gives heat another way out.

The complete back. Three relaxed pockets and a small red GC patch, stitched flat around all four edges.

04 / The GC signature

The fourth fabric.
Our small signature.

A slim, low collar and concealed full-length zip keep the artwork flowing across the front. Narrow stitched joins connect the body to the side panels. Three rear pockets use a fourth, smoother fabric with tiny perforations.

A small red GC fabric tag is stitched down at all four corners beneath the pocket opening. The pockets sit naturally, keeping their shape and the artwork composed.

A few things worth knowing

When will my pre-order arrive?

Estimated delivery is approximately 8 weeks. The estimate can vary with production and transit. We’ll share updates if the timing changes.

Are there men’s and women’s cuts?

Yes. The Wild Man is available in men’s and women’s cuts, each shaped for its own fit. Select your cut in the product options above.

How are the four fabrics used?

The front and back use the fine body knit. Sleeves use open rounded mesh. Side panels have a separate, structured ventilation fabric. The rear pockets use a smoother fourth fabric with tiny perforations. The artwork carries across the panels.

Which artwork inspired this edition?

This edition draws on Paul Klee’s Der wilde Mann (The Wild Man), created in 1922. We chose its expressive figure, colour and sweeping dark marks, then recomposed the artwork for the jersey panels. The original is held at the Lenbachhaus in Munich.
