The Velotric Nomad 2 is a powerful fat-tire eBike designed for commuting, gravel roads, uneven terrain, and weekend adventures. Its wide tires, sturdy frame, and 100mm hydraulic suspension fork provide added comfort and control when the road gets rough.
Strong Power for Demanding Rides
A 750W motor with up to 1,300W peak power and 90Nm of torque delivers confident assistance for hills, heavier loads, and challenging terrain. The Nomad 2 can reach speeds of up to 28 mph and offers up to 65 miles of pedal-assist range. Actual range will vary based on terrain, rider weight, weather, cargo, and assistance level.
Velotric SensorSwap™ lets you choose between responsive torque sensing and steady cadence-based assistance, allowing you to adjust the ride to your route and personal preference.

I recently purchased a Velotric Summit 1 e-bike from Garage Cycles, and the experience was top-notch. While the bike is available for the same price online, choosing to buy locally was absolutely the right move.
The shop is beautifully maintained, clean, well-stocked, and incredibly easy to access. The proprietor, Matthew, was fantastic to work with. He had multiple sizes in stock, took the time to fit me to the correct frame, and clearly explained all the bike's features and technology before I took it for a spin.
The real testament to their customer service came on Memorial Day. I ran into a minor technical issue, and even though the shop was closed for the holiday, Matthew met me at the shop to quickly resolve it and get me back on the road. You simply don't get that level of dedication with an online purchase. I highly recommend Garage Cycles!

Nomad 2 comes pre-installed with fenders, rear rack, and a suspension seatpost, saving you the hassle of buying and installing these separately. Additional accessories are available on the Velotric website based on a variety of scenarios. Feel free to take a look!
Is Nomad 2 waterproof?
Yes! Nomad 2 meets IPX6 waterproof standards, so you'll be able to ride confidently even in heavy rain and clean it using a pressure washer. All Velotric Ebikes are built to this standard.
Can I set the Nomad 2 to Class 1 or Class 3?
Yes. The default is Class 2 (throttle enabled, 20MPH max speed):
- Class 1: Disables throttle.
- Class 3: Disables throttle, increases top speed to 28MPH.
Adjust this based on your local regulations!
When should I use Cadence or Torque sensors?
Torque sensors are better for variable-speed riding or rugged terrain, meaning riding will feel more intuitive (as the power output is more efficient and immediate). Cadence sensors feel more relaxed and are ideal for long, consistent rides, such as city roads. Explore each to find what fits your riding style best.
